Tharrick Henescia was born to a wealthy family on Coruscant. His mother and father, due to their wealth and influence, were treated well by the Empire and therefore supported it fully, and Tharrick's upbringing conditioned him to think the same way. He was always told stories about the glorious Empire's victories against the foul rebels, and, when the time came for him to choose a career, serving the Empire was the natural option.

Thanks to his parents' influence and his own skill, Tharrick was afforded the luxury of avoiding joining the Army as a foot soldier, or the Navy as a TIE pilot, and was given a fast-track into the Imperial Security Bureau. Here he underwent intensive training in all aspects of overt and covert warfare, including deep-cover operations, and fighter piloting, both of which he excelled at. Upon completing his training, he was assigned a deep-cover mission to assist an agent already in the field. Agent Ma'arthen had managed to secure a position as a wing commander in the Rebel Alliance, and it was this wing that Tharrick was to be entering.

His false defection passed without trouble, and soon he found himself leading Blue Squadron, the squadron leader's position having been recently vacated by Shara Tharn's transfer (of course, orchestrated by Ma'arthen). Shara was suspicious of him, and didn't keep it a secret. Worried that she might uncover the truth, Tharrick worked hard to gain her respect, and eventually succeeded. Then he was ordered by Ma'arthen to get deeper under Tharn's defences - to make her fall in love with him.

It wasn't his skill as an ISB agent that gained Shara's love, but his own love for her.

Shara eventually discovered the truth about Ma'arthen, and traced Tharrick's involvement as well. Stung by his deception, she refused to ever speak to him again. Tharrick was heartbroken, and instantly made his false defection true, in a bid to regain her respect. But as much as he approached her to try and heal their relationship, she would turn away and leave. Eventually she was transferred away from the wing - to where, Tharrick was not told. He flew a few more missions with Blue Squadron, but he had lost their respect through deceiving their former commander. The wing held too many memories of Shara, and eventually Tharrick requested transfer.

He was transferred into Rebel Squadrons' Retribution Fleet.
